The ATII Scholars Program builds the foundation for Africa’s innovation future, cultivating scientific curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity among children and teenagers aged 5-18.
Structured into two stages, Junior Scholars (Ages 5–12) and Senior Scholars (Ages 13–18), the program introduces African youth to STEM, sustainability, and design thinking, linking learning with problem-solving relevant to their communities.
This early exposure creates a generational mindset shift, from learning to inventing, from consumption to creation, thereby nurturing future ATII Fellows, researchers, and entrepreneurs.
To ignite curiosity and innovation in young Africans by embedding STEM thinking, environmental awareness, and creative problem-solving within early education, building the next generation of inventors and changemakers.

Junior Scholars (Ages 5–12) – The Stage of Discovery
Goal: Inspire curiosity and nurture the confidence to ask “what if?”
Senior Scholars (Ages 13–18) – The Stage of Design and Innovation
Goal: Empower young Africans to solve real problems using science, technology, and teamwork.
The ATII Scholars Program redefines education as a journey of creation, not memorization.
By engaging young minds early, it reshapes Africa’s innovation DNA, building a generation that is not waiting for solutions but designing them.
Through its Junior and Senior Scholar tracks, the program creates a seamless innovation continuum that integrates childhood curiosity, teenage experimentation, and adult research leadership.
It reflects a bold vision: that Africa’s intellectual transformation begins at age five and evolves for life.
This program does not just prepare children for the future; it positions them to invent it.
